Duke's BBQ’s Blues Festival / ~32 mi @ 12-14 mph / George Pastorino
Nice and easy trail ride to Duke’s Blues-N-BBQ Blues Festival in Carpenters Park. We will plan to spend about 2.5 hours at the festival watching the great blues bands, eating the fabulous food and enjoying fine craft beer. Riders will be welcome to stay longer or shorter as it is a straight shot down the Fox River Trail back to the car. This will be one the Largest Blues Festivals of 2024. They will have several southern food vendors, many musicians, Beer Tents and much more. There will be Sweet Tea Vodka, Adult Lemonade, Seltzers, Various IPA’s plus a coffee bar and wine bar, Craft beer will be from Black and Gray Brewery which is a favorite of ours. The North section of the Fox River Trail is really beautiful with scenic water views and nice forested landscapes. Trail is 99% paved so any bike is fine, we will be on our road Tandem. We will be back by 5:00pm, unless we're not. Slower riders and e-bikes are most welcome. Please note that there are several significant hills. Please kindly register as it is a remote start.
