Calendar - Event View

Come join us for a slower ride along Des Plaines River Trail and Greenway. We will stop a few times by the river to explore and take pics. Not a good ride if you have time restraints or want to get from point A to point B the fastest way possible way. We will start at its Northernmost point and ride to Independence Grove in Libertyville for a lunch break and a 2 to 3 mile loop around their fabulous lake view trails. Trail is hard pack gravel and any bike with 32 mm or larger tires will work. We will be on single Hybrid bikes. Bring lots of water and food as will not leave the trail. Restrooms at Independence Grove are open. Otherwise we will use the woods for nature breaks. Back by 2pm...unless we're not. As this is a rather distant start point, registration is appreciated so we can know to look for you. Parking is limited so arrive early, you can also park on the grass.
