Come join Pussanee and I for a leisurely Canoe/ Kayak trip down The Kankakee River. The first half of the 12-mile stretch from Momence to Aroma Park is studded with numerous small islands and meanders through narrow channels, providing a very scenic trip. Numerous sandbars along the way are inviting spots for swimming breaks. Average paddling time is 4 to 6 hours. River level is on the low side so we may have to get out and carry the boat over low spots. Call Reeds Canoe and Kayak Rental at 815-932-2663 to reserve your boat. $69 for canoes for 1 or 2 persons. $79 for double kayaks $46 for a single kayak. We will go rain or shine. Please register so we can look for you. Trip is good for beginner paddlers.
