Hump~Day~Hustle / 18 mi @ 10-12 mph / John Riordan, Erich Starosta & Ken Vos

This is an evening ride, requiring headlights and tail lights.
It has been going on for some years now at the speed of fun, a speed at which conversation during safe passages can be easily held and is encouraged.
You must have a bike that is trail-ready. We suggest a mountain bike, fat-tire bike, or at least some wide tires. i.e. There may be times on the crushed limestone trails, depending on the weather, where a road bike will not cut it.
We offer constant communication and hope for the same. No rider will ever be left behind. Having said that, please don't show up if your bike is not ready or you are not in athletic condition for this distance and pace.
We start in Villa Park, but the route may vary from week-to-week.
For this pandemic year, we are not sure of the route yet but we will try to find something with a bathroom or port-a-potty on the route. (Check the ListServer email before the ride. There has usually been an open bathroom at the ride start.)
Please welcome Erich (our longtime master-sweep) and Ken (an experienced rider and H-D-Hustler) to their first year of HDH ride-leading duties. We will feature an introduction to group safety and a light bicycle check. Make sure you have followed the guidelines listed elsewhere on our club's website for safe riding if you are new to the EBC or the Hustle. Let's rock!
