Calendar - Event View

We will hike hilly glaciated area of Kettle Moraine/Lapham Peak near Delafield WI. We will hike six miles and take a short break. The hikes may bail out after the break or join me for another four mile loop which includes climbing the viewing tower. Most of the hiking is in hilly terrain. Please, dress in appropriate to prevailing weather and bring enough water and food/snacks for the entire hike. A sturdy pair of hiking shoes with micro spikes and gaiters and hiking poles are strongly recommended. At the park entrance pay $11.00 for a day pass or buy a yearly state pass. I may have a room for a hiker or two if you call early. Allow at least two hours of driving/115 miles from Elmhurst. The hike is in conjunction with a hiking club and hikers must be comfortable hiking with a large group.
