Calendar - Event View

Join me for an adventure ride to Indiana. The goal is to ride to Michigan City, IN; however, depending on my scouting capabilities and the weather, we may only get to Hammond, IN before turning around. If we only ride to Hammond, we will stop in Hammond for lunch before returning back to Ogilvie Train Station. If we make it to Michigan City, IN, we will take the South Shore Line to the Millenium Station in Chicago and then ride over to Ogilvie and take the West line back to Elmhurst. The plan is to catch the 8:43 AM West Line Metra train from the Elmhurst Train Station to Chicago and then ride to the Lakefront Trail and head south. Bring snacks and money/credit card to stop for refuelilng along the way. The first stop will probably be in Hammond where a decision will be made to continue toward Michigan City or head back to Chicago. Wear reflective clothing and dress for the weather. It is generally cooler along the lakefront so dress accordingly. I will check the weather and decide if the ride will happen by 6 AM on the morning of the ride.
