Chicago Randonneurs to Crown Point, IN and back / 125K (80 mi) @ your pace / Edward Richards
About this event
This is the second official event of the year for Chicago Randonneurs. We start on the Lakefront Bike Path at Monroe Harbor in downtown Chicago - a beautiful scenic starting point. You must be an RUSA Member (see below). We have 20 EBC members who are also RUSA members.
The Crown Point Coffee Run is a relaxed, social 125K out-and-back ride from downtown Chicago to Crown Point, Indiana – built around good miles, good company, and excellent independent coffee shops. The route features stops at three standout cafes and bake shops: Grindhouse Café, Sip Coffee House, and Cielito Lindo Café. Each stop offers a chance to refuel, warm up, and support local businesses along the way.
The majority of the route follows bike paths and low-stress roads between Chicago and Northwest Indiana, making this an approachable endurance ride despite the distance. Expect steady pacing, a conversational vibe, and a welcoming atmosphere for riders looking to test their legs without racing the clock
Ride far, drink well, and enjoy a coffee-fueled day on the bike..
