A half-century ride through Chicago and near north suburbs to the original Hackney’s location on Harms Road in Glenview. The route features a mix of neighborhoods, city streets and paved trails. One stop each way in addition to lunch. Hackney’s is a north suburb institution. This is the original location opened in 1939 featuring great food and outdoor dining next to Harms Woods along the North Branch Bike Trail. Entrees range from $14 to $20. Expect to be back in Elmhurst around 3:30 PM. I will stick with the advertised 14-16 MPH pace. This is a conversation-paced ride, not a fast ride!
