EBC Memorial Day Bike Parade In Elmhurst Parade / 5 Mi 6-8 MPH / Ken Hickey

EBC is participating in the Memorial Day Parade, Monday May 28.   IF you would like to participate by riding or walking your favorite bike (we will be going very slow), send me a personal email.
  • EBC Parade Unit #70
  • Need to arrive by 8:30am
  • We will leave from Illinois Street, 1 block north of Third Street.   (North of Jewell - located downtown Elmhurst)
  • Free parking in the parking garages, along the neighborhood streets, or commuter lots.  (free parking on Memorial Day)
Official parade colors are RED,WHITE, & BLUE.   But also ok to wear our EBC jerseys.   I have small flags to share for particpants.  IF any of you want to decorate your bikes with red, white, and blue ribbons like you did when you were a kid... that's ok too!

And the theme of the pararde is:  Aways Remember

We are not to throw any candy or anything else to the crowds.   I was not planning on having anything to give out - just the bannner of our club announcing who we are.

Parade ends past the Wilder Park Mansion.  The parade distance is less than 2 miles.

Ken is leading a ride beyond the end of the race to ride to other memorials in nearby communities, depending on weather and interest.

I have the yellow EBC banner.  Does anyone else have the other, more colorful banner?

Looking forward to hearing from those interested in doing the parade, or who has the other EBC banner.
