Reliable Cambr sources have told me that the trails should be mostly green by 2pm Sunday. We will abandon the single track if wet or soft. This will be an easier single-track ride through some of the most beautiful areas of Palos Forest Preserve. I will lead this ride from time to time when my arthritic shoulders allow. They are not an issue on the road or tandem bikes but a big deal on single track. Route will vary based on the current condition of the trails and the ride leader. We will probably get about 10-12 miles and ride these single track trails, Pipeline, Coaster, Nuclear Loop, Sections of Campground, Stair Steps, Grass hill, Connector, Bullwhip, Hickory Smoked, Maple Lake East, Resurrection (if dry) and Road Kill. Easy Pace, but intermediate MTB handling skills required. Bathroom and food break at the Bullfrog leg Campground. Pussanee will sweep and no one left behind. Eye protection required. Body armor is optional. Please note that all pedal assist and throttle E bikes regardless of class are not allowed on any single track at Palos Forest Preserves. This is by order of The Forest Preserve District of Cook County which is the Land Manager with jurisdiction over the entire trail System. Please park at the very far end of the lot where you cannot go further.
