Welcome to the reinstitution of the classic "Polkow Loops"!
For many years, club Ride Leader and triathlon coach, Dave Polkow, had us circling the outer, road perimeter of York Woods at our own pace.
Like the classic Blue Skies rides, there was a built in safety net in that each rider could do their own thing, and still be collected somewhere and not be set adrift if they had a mechanical or physical setback. And yet they would not slow the group down either, nor make the group run at too hot a pace, because everyone is training in their own way.
We will start together, and collectively end at the finish time, where you can tell me your mileage.
Each loop is about 3 miles, and there is some car traffic to negotiate with in some spots.
There is no official break, as this is a relatively brief event, and you stop or go as you like. You can even rest for a long time, then continue back in the loops.
