Two to three loops of the 6.5 mile 3 loop. Optional 1.5 hike after. Limited to 10 riders. Social distancing and mask. Registration since limited.
Al Hattendorf Center Elk Grove Park District
We will join with the Friends of Cycling Elk Grove Village. We’ll be riding from the Al Hattendorf Center to Maple Leaf Coffee Roasters in Roselle and back. Arrive by 8:45am. There‘s plenty of parking if driving up. We’ll leave promptly at 9am and should be back by 11:30am. This will be a casual no-drop ride. Many of you rode from Elmhurst to Maple Leaf Coffee and this year we‘ll be joining the FCEG bike club is a ride to Maple Leaf Roasters. This will be a fun intra-club ride making new cycling friends. Registration required so we have a count of EBC‘ers joining the event.

The Starbucks
Downtown Clarendon Hills
A hill training ride along Burr Ridge hills and the frontage road rollers at moderate pace. The riders are expected to tackle the hills at their own pace and comfort as we will regroup at predetermined spots. The mid ride break is at a gas station. Please, bring a mask for the break and water and snacks.
The start location is the Starbucks located in the downtown Clarendon Hills. Please, park in the METRA parking lot two blocks north of the Starbucks.
Elmhurst: Whole Foods in rear lot along West Ave.
I‘ll lead a ride west to Fermi Lab. Instead of going in, we‘ll turn around at the gate and take a mid-ride rest stop at the McDonalds / Shell station at Batavia Road and Rt 59. McDonalds will be closed for indoor dining, so expect to use the facilities at the neighboring Shell station. Lots of sprints on this traditional EBC route.
