Happy Valentine’s Day!

On this day of love, would you do anything possible to make a loved one’s day/life better?  So many of the ones we love or friends we know have some kind of breathing issue.  Maybe it is asthma, COPD, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, cystic fibrosis, or lung cancer, just to name a few.  One way we can all help find cures for lung disease and clean our air is by participating in the American Lung Association 3-Day Fight for Air Ride.  This ride is very dear to my heart as I lost my mom 14 years ago this June to lung cancer and I know once you join this ride, it will become a part of your summer riding.  The great thing about the money you raise is that 86 cents of every dollar goes directly to education, research and advocacy.  So instead of giving your loved one chocolate or roses or whatever it is you do on Valentine’s Day, why not register for the American Lung Association 3-Day ride (or maybe do both) and then spend the weekend of June 7th-9th riding and staying at the Abbey Resort.  If you don’t want to ride the three days there is a two day option.  I promise that you and your loved one will be happy you did this.

For more information on this fantastic ride please follow this Fight for Air Ride link. If you do decide to register be sure to join the Elmhurst Bicycle Club team and use the code: TeamEBC2019 for the $35 registration fee.  I know there is a fundraising minimum of $500 if our team reaches 10 or more participants but it is well worth it and for a great cause.  Last year the Elmhurst Bicycle Club team was the #1 fundraising team and we would sure like to repeat that this year.  Thanks for reading and considering participating in this event.  If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me by email or phone.  See you on the road and be careful out there.
