Southern Trail Dedication Ceremony

Congresswoman Judy Biggert presented checks
that she helped to get for trail funding
under the new federal transportation bill.
Other event speakers included representatives
from the Forest Preserve District
(the district has built several trail segments),
County Board members Jim Healy and Tom Bennington
who have spearheaded efforts on this trail,
and County Board Chairman Bob Schillerstrom
who started the ball rolling and has helped to get county funding.
